Finally decided to install my own LLM’s and image generation AI systems on my home computer because online services are getting priced ridiculously and limited more and more.
I decided to start by feeding the image generation A.I. with very simple and short titles of famous hits. These are my first results…
Dreamshaper 8 (No Template and no Reference)

[spoiler title="Prompt"]Candle In The Wind

The results are generally a bit meh, but then again, I gave the AI the absolute minimum to work with.
Dreamshaper 8 with Templates
Next, I wanted to try out the various “templates,” using the very same prompt on every single one: “Sexy ginger girl with freckles in a bikini, next to a sports car at an overlook, looking at a waterfall with the sun setting in the distance.” Somehow, only one template managed to actually put a sports car in the picture, as requested. Also, that one template is also the only one where the girl is actually looking at the waterfall, as requested. Seems like the “Concept Art” template was the only one getting every request right.
All the above images are 1024×1024 pixels, and each one took 10-15 minutes to generate. The speed was slightly disappointing, but I was just too excited about the results to mind…
That’s when I found out the program wasn’t using my GPU at all! It was just running on my 14-core/28-thread CPU! Time to quit messing around and figure out why my GPU is not used at all.
